This team of students from Mwatisi Secondary School in Mbeya, Tanzania, realized that their community members were hunting wild animals as a food source. However, they also recognized that this was putting excessive pressure on the environment. So they established a series of fish ponds which now serve as a food source for their community. This has not only significantly decreased hunting, but has had a remarkable effect on the awareness of the community members.
