Wild Gals of Stone

Many kids spend little or no time learning about their natural environment. This team created an outdoor classroom at their inner city middle school not only to encourage an understanding of the natural world but to support the natural world directly. Birds, insects, and many other animals visit the outdoor classroom, and teachers of all academic subjects have used the space for unique hands-on activities. The classroom improved the appearance of the school as well as the outlook students have about their school.
